ABOUT THE BOOK

It was the summer of 2024.

Time flew. After the child was born, in the blink of an eye, it was the summer of 2024.

At that moment, Olivia was taking her one-year-old son, America, to Fort Lyman, to the cemetery of fallen soldiers, to worship to her dead husband, Dohm.

As soon as she entered the cemetery, looking at the grassy fields and the densely packed crosses, tombstones, and graves under the clear blue sky, Olivia sighed. She couldn’t help but burst into tears.

The cemetery had expanded a lot compared to two years ago, and the crosses, tombstones, and graves also had increased. Since her husband, Dohm, had been killed in battle, many more soldiers had died in the war over the past two years. Thus, the cemetery had to be expanded.

War was cruel. It was difficult for soldiers on the battlefield to survive. Dohm’s sister, Diahann, and Dohm had been killed in battle and promptly buried there. Wounded soldiers who died in the hospital would later be buried there one by one. Some soldiers had been born in the area of Fort Lyman, and their parents lived in the area. However, they fought across Ukraine, and when they died, their parents were consulted by the troops. For the convenience of homage, their parents requested that their children’s coffins be transported back to Fort Lyman for burial.
